We are looking for a project researcher to join a team evaluating a number
of Sure Start programmes in the Middlesbrough area. Sure Start is a national
initiative working towards improving the health and wellbeing of children
under five and their families. Evaluation of one Sure Start programme has
been ongoing since January 2002 and studies of up to three others in the
Middlesbrough area are currently planned.
With a good first degree in social sciences or a health related area and
preferably a relevant postgraduate qualification, you should have excellent
communication skills and well developed analytical and writing abilities.
Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation
methods, community development and health improvement work is also
desirable.
Successful candidates will only be appointed following a satisfactory
disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
