Yes, they can. They are just like any other phone in the hospital in that,
with the correct prefix numbers, people can dial in from outside. We can
also text on them in a very rudimentary form. Naturally, that function has
never been abused....... ;-)
Danny - if you want, come up to Calderdale sometime and have a look at them.

Can the dect phones also accept outside calls, ie GP's trying to get RMO's,
SHO',s etc. If the answer is yes I'll be banging on the CE's door come
