Can someone tell me why we are encouraging Joe and Josephine Public to
click on the word BORROW and attempt to place a reservation against books
from other authorities catalogues?

Subject: Whichbook Catalogue Link
Your authority has given your email as the contact for work on linking your
OPAC to whichbook.net. The development of whichbook.net is being funded by
the NOF Digi programme and the site will be launched by Baroness Blackstone
at the Public Library Authorities Conference on 15 October. It will be a
great new service for readers.
The whichbook.net website is in Beta release at the moment. We have made a
successful link to Gloucestershire's OPAC and we would like to increase the
links to other Talis web OPAC authorities. We are trying to make the whole
thing as simple for authorities as possible. We have your catalogue URL
but we also need your IP provider details eg 123.123.123.123 to complete
the link.
Please take a look at the Beta site. To see the catalogue link working
make a selection from the mood sliders on the left of the screen and press
GO. All the titles that appear will have a BORROW button in the right hand
corner. Press this. When asked to select an area of the country choose
SOUTH WEST and then from the list of authorities choose GLOUCESTERSHIRE.
You will be through to the Author/Title level for the book.
