Yeah it works BUT too intermittently to be reliable other than when,
perhaps, you get a positive and then send them straight for a scan.
I agree the history is important but I am continually surprised by the
number of what I think are relatively trivial injuries (based on the history
and S+S) that turn out to be stress fractures. Having just left the UK (for
Oz), I can appreciate the difficulty you may have, in many instances, of
getting a bone scan done. I suppose the take home message is be careful and
be aware that this method is unreliable.
