Hi all,
does anyone have any info/references about the existence of disability
sports prior to the 1940s and the Stoke Manderville Games (started as a form
of rehab for wheelchair-using servicemen injured in WWII)? Even anecdotes
would be useful. I'm trying to establish whether there is an origin of
disability sports of any kind which isn't rehab-based.
Thanks
Lynne
