The Shaping Our Lives National User Network has secured three-year funding
from the Department of Health to nationally develop the involvement of
user-controlled organisations. We want to recruit the following two staff
to be based in our office in London.
Manager - p/t 3 days per week, ?29,000 pro rata. To be responsible for: the
strategic development and direction of the organisation; staff supervision;
financial management; fundraising; and external affairs, in association
with the Board of Directors. Experience as a service user will be essential
for this post.
Administrator - p/t 2.5 days per week, ?22,200 pro rata. To carry out
administration, keep financial records and provide support to other staff.
Experience as a service user would be valuable in this post.

Shaping Our Lives also has two new jobs to run an 18-month project to
develop user involvement in the Joseph Rowntree Foundation's The Future of
Human Rights and Welfare programme.
P/t Development worker: ?24,000 pro rata, 2.5 days a week. This job will
require experience of project development and research work. The job could
be done on a consultancy basis. Experience as a service user will be
essential for this post.
P/t Administrator: ?22,200 pro rata 2.5 days a week. This worker will
organise and support meetings for the project; administer a database, and
provide administrative support to the development worker. Experience as a
service user would be valuable in this post.
