Temporary Lecturer in Italian
Applications are invited for the above post in the Department of
Italian at Trinity College Dublin. The appointment, which will be
offered on contract for nine months, will be tenable from 23rd
September, 2002. The successful candidate will be required to carry
out teaching duties in Italian language and literature and to
undertake some course co-ordination and related administrative tasks.
Literature elements include courses on Goldoni, Manzoni, Verga,
Pirandello, Fo and the metrics of modern Italian poetry, and
teaching will be assigned to accord with the interests of the
successful candidate. Intensive grammar and translation teaching
will also be required.
Candidates must hold a good University degree, have a very high
standard of language competence in Italian, demonstrable ability and
versatility in teaching and a demonstrated interest in research.
The appointment will be offered within the salary range 25,218 -
28,485 euros per annum, to accord with qualifications and experience
to date.
