I spend most of my life being misunderstood :)
This is a list for enthusiasts and for occassional disagreement.
We have not had a flame war for years. Why, you can even sugget that
multiple choice is a terrible method of assessment and no one gets hot and
cross :)
So a thank you to Simon for reminding us that email is a 'cold' place to
communicate where it is easy to cause offence with out meaning it and to be
misconstrued.

My apologies if people have taken my mail as anti-academic debate on
this list. I contribute, read and enjoy the list and would hate to
think that my statement was taken as a slur on the accurate and thorough
ideas regarding the discount airline industry.
My comments were aimed at one or two personal comments that had crept in
and a hint of one-upmanship that threatened to take the list off course.
No offence intended.
