Dear Dr. Hsueh-hua Chen,
Your files arrived fine. Thank you very much for this. The encoding was
very good, and was easy to convert. I have added traditional Chinese to the
list of user interface languages available in the Registry
(http://wip.dublincore.org:8080/dcregistry/index.html). I would appreciate
it if you would review it to make certain that I converted your translation
properly. Also, is the word I used to indicate 'traditional Chinese
language' in the 'User Interface Language' select box of the Preferences
screen the correct word?
There may already be a translation for the data in the ULIS Registry.
Please take a look at:
http://avalon.ulis.ac.jp/registry/servlets/browse?id=7 and let me know if
this is the correct translation for traditional Chinese. If it is I will
add that data to the Registry.
A question for the Interest Group:
I used zh-TW for the ISO 639-1 code (I had already used zh-CN to represent
simplified Chinese). This is internal to the Registry and probably does not
make any difference, but I was curious if there is a standard for which code
to use for traditional Chinese and which to use for Simplified Chinese?
Also, is there an additional translation for Taiwanese, or is the same as
traditional Chinese?
