In an application I have written in VBA for Excel, I have a chart
routine for constructing surface and contour plots.
This requires a range as a data series.
This means that I have to create a sheet to enter the data (generated by
the model), use that as the range, create the chart, copy and paste the
chart so that it becomes detached from the data in the sheet, and then
delete the sheet.
Instead of doing this, I want to put the data into an array and then use
the array as the data series for the chart. But I have tried everything
I can think of, and ploughed through all the Excel, VBA and VB6 manuals
that fill my ancient cottage and I find no solution.
Do any ASSUMERS know how to use an array of data as a series for a chart
without first putting the values into a worksheet and then referring to
them as a range?
