I think you have raised a very important question on whether it is desirable
for an HEI to have a separate e-learning strategy or whether e-learning
should be embedded in several strategies e.g. Teaching and Learning, ICT and
also CPD strategies.
At present we take the latter approach but there are problems with 'joining
up' the thinking so some of us are planning a distinct e-learning/flexible
learning strategy that links the threads running through the other strategic
initiatives.
