Le culte des saints anglais en Bretagne armoricaine mérite d'être souligné.
Pour saint Augustin le témoin le plus ancien semble être celui du calendrier
de l'abbaye de Landevennec (diocèse de Quimper) où la "Depositio" de
l'archevêque est marquée au 26 mai : Copenhague, Thott 239, Xème siècle (
manuscrit ayant séjourné dès le XI è s. dans une abbaye clunisienne). Rien
d'étonnant à cela quand on connait les relations de l'abbaye cornouaillaise
avec la grande Ile...
Le nom de Bède n'apparaît guère dans les livres liturgiques anciens de la
peninsule.
