Archaeological Planning and Records Assistant
Scale 2-3 £11,817 -£13,500 (subject to annual pay award)
To assist with the provision of an archaeological planning service and
maintenance and development of the Sites and Monuments Record. The SMR
includes the areas covered by the County of Warwickshire and the
Metropolitan Borough of Solihull.
The successful applicant will be expected to update the SMR and the
planning records database (using the Exegesis SDM software, including
MAPINFO GIS) from a wide range of archaeological sources and to process
planning applications and other proposals relating to land-use change.
He/she will answer research, commercial and other enquiries using the
resources held within our information systems.
The successful applicant will also be required to participate in outreach
events involving the Information and Advice Group.
An archaeological degree or equivalent qualification and 4 months relevant
practical experience are essential. IFA membership at practitioner level or
above is desirable.
The post is based in Warwick.
We are an IFA Registered Archaeological Organisation.
