> Subject: Advertising the MIC Doctoral Scholarship
>
> Dear Colleagues,
>
>
> There seems to be a general consensus that, in monetary and prestige
> terms, the MIC Doctoral Scholarship compares quite favourable with other
> Doctoral awards made available by third level academic institutions.
> However, to date the College has arguably not received good value in terms
> of publicising the award in international fora, nor has it thereby taken
> steps to ensure that the award attracts the very highest calibre of
> postgraduate applicant.
>
> As an initial step towards the rectification of this, I today sent the
> email copied below to the international philosophy mailing lists, to which
> I am a longstanding subscriber.
>
> I invite you in turn to publicise the award in any forum/fora relevant to
> your subject area, or, if you so wish, to bring any such to my and/or Aine
> Cregan's attention, and we will seek to publicise it there.
>
> Kind Regards,
