Dear List Members
I am taking part in a study about homelessness and death. We are
looking to research what the pathways towards homelessness and death
might be, in order that we might come up with some specific
recommendations for addressing the issues, policy changes etc. We can
all make some fairly good guesses about the causes of homelessness, but
how this might lead to death is not well researched. By people who are
homeless, we are including those people who have "no known address", who
might use emergency shelters, who possibly camp out, but are without
their own permanent homes or addresses.
This is an exploratory study and my request is quite general at this
early stage. Is anybody aware of any literature or studies published or
unpublished that relate to homelessness and disability?
I would welcome any comments from list members anywhere regarding their
thoughts or experiences with homelessness and disability, and with
homelessness and death.
Sincerely
Vivien Runnels
