Subject: THE NEXT HEP SYSMAN MEETING 22/23RD APRIL
I would like to encourage everybody on this mailing list to consider
attending
the next HEP SYSMAN meeting scheduled for 22/23rd at RAL if they have not
already booked in.
The provisional agenda is now available on
http://www.hep.lancs.ac.uk/sysman/agenda.html
and will soon be available on the official HEPSYSMAN web site.
http://hepwww.rl.ac.uk/sysman
I would especially like to advertise the half-day GRID teaching session for
system managers organised by John Gordon, which forms an important and
useful
part of this meeting.
I would also like to request that a representative from each site
represented
be perpared to present a brief 10 minutes (approx) report of the current
status of their HEP computer systems and perhaps include a strategic
overview
of their future plans.
This meeting is an ideal opportunity for the HEP computing community to
share
problems and solutions and generally exchange useful information.
Please note that the agenda is only provisional. If speakers feel they have
too
much or too little time please get back to me. If there is anybody else who
still has to inform me of a topic which they feel would be useful to share
with
the community please let me know asap as we could still fit in a couple of
short talks.
Best wishes for a Happy Easter
Rob Henderson
