A Conference for Postgraduates of Sports Science and Sports Studies

This conference will provide a forum for postgraduates at various levels and
stages of their research to discuss issues relevant to the whole research
process or their particular topic, present their findings and gain
experience of discussing work in an academic but supportive setting.
There will be three elements to the conference programme:
* Papers by experienced sports academics on aspects of the research
process, publishing and the academic career
* Workshops where postgraduates can compare and discuss problems,
methods and the research process and career path
* Papers by postgraduates on their own work
All disciplines are equally welcome and sessions will be divided into
science (psychology, physiology etc) and studies (sociology, history etc).
The focus of the conference will be research-orientated and MPhil, MA, MSc
and PhD students undertaking research are all welcome.
The programme will run from Wednesday morning until early Thursday
afternoon. Wednesday night will feature a dinner and bar. The cost, which
includes all meals and Wednesday night accommodation, is £60. Tuesday night
bed & breakfast is available on request for an additional £20.

Abstracts for papers based on postgraduate research should be no more than
200 words and sent or emailed to the above address. Students at all stages
of their research are encouraged to present.
