Hi List,
I have rescently had 2 people who have had lateral knee pain just below the
joint line ever since there knee replacement.
I initially could find no reason for this and could not help them. When
one mentioned they had some back pain as well post op I decided to assess
there LBP to try and get a result somewhere!! On assessing neural tension
I reproduced knee pain (for the first time). Both these patients responded
well to superior and inferior fibular mobs (3 treatments-no pain). As a
working hypothesis I think there was some tehering of common peroneal nerve
in the region of the fibular head.
Has anyone else had similar experiences? Or have I met 2 freak occurences?
Should we include ANT assessment in TKR assessment? Does everyone else
already do this, and I am just being rubbish!!
Yours sincerely,
John Willenbruch
