Professor of Management in International

Applications are invited for the position of Professor of
Management in International Development in one of the
UK’s leading centres for international development. The
field of management in international development
includes: development management; governance and
public management in development; human resource
management and human resource development;
international management; organisational behaviour and
institutional development; strategic management in
development.
The Institute places strong emphasis on both teaching excellence
and high quality research. Its postgraduate courses were
awarded a maximum QAA score of 24; research work was
awarded grade 5 in the most recent (2001) RAE.
Applicants will have an international research reputation
in the area of management in international development
as evidenced by a record of publications and external
research funding. S/he will have the ability to provide
academic leadership in all aspects of the Institute’s
activities, including the role of the Head of Institute; the
capacity to deliver high quality teaching and graduate
supervision; and professional and research experience
in developing countries and/or emerging economies.
