List members may be interested to know that the second volume of New Orkney
Antiquarian Journal is just out, with articles relating to subjects recently
discussed here. It includes (among other things) Brian Smith's impressive
demolition of the theory that Scots and Templars went to North America in
the fourteenth century, William P.L. Thomson's account of the footprint
stone at Ladykirk in South Ronaldsay, with its associated folklore and Theya
Molleson's description and consideration of the leper burial discovered at
Newark in Deerness.
