This can't be right: Paris is in the same time zone as Greenwich. France,
of course, used the same time as the UK until June 1940. It just never
changed back! Berlin is slap bang in the middle of the next time zone...
I would be wary of assuming that local time is BST: wasn't double Summer
Time introduced as a wartime measure?
