Sadly, this is true. And what stocks there are around seem to be dwindling
fast. I'm told, though, that Mitsui Gold are just as good (thanks to Ed
Bremner at TASI for the tip). See http://www.mitsuicdrstore.com/
(There is also, apparently, a conservation issue around the suitability of
standard jewel cases. I'll pass on any advice I get about that.)
Some people have recommended using DVD-R rather than CD_R , which I'm sure
is good advice. Unfortunately, the budget for this project (and, I suspect,
many other NOF-digi projects) was drawn up some time ago, and DVD - if
considered at all - was evidently ruled out on grounds of cost, so I have to
stick with CD-R drives and media.
