I was thinking about the discussion regarding competency and training which
has occured over the past month. It seems there is a trend for experienced
physios not to use current undergrad techniques, I thought this may be
because they had never had training in these fields.
Why is it that there are no courses in techniques that are currently
undergraduate, these courses would allow those who trained when these
things were not routine at undergrad level to 'keep up'.
I realise that these could be covered in in service training but it would
also be nice to have the option to be taught by proper lecturing staff.
Someone could also make a few quid for unis by running these courses to
external people with minimal extra effort planning the course.
Any comments,
