he didn't even have to leave france to do that, did he?
just got in touch with the cash-poor Latin Emperor of Constantinople via the
Good Ole Boy Network (precursor of the WWW no doubt), gave him his credit card
information and went down to Villeneuve-l'Archeveque (near Sens, i believe) to
meet the package when it was delivered to the edge of his domains.
of course, he *did* have to build a spiffy new building to house the thing in
--but, Building is the Sport of Kings, after all.
