WEB SUPPORT OFFICER (REF 111/02)
An experienced Web Support Officer is required in the
Institute for Development Policy and Management
(http://www.man.ac.uk/idpm) to join a team of academic and
support staff providing a varied portfolio of postgraduate
teaching, research and consultancy services in the field of
international development and management.
The Institute has a vibrant and friendly atmosphere and anyone

apply. IDPM is recognised internationally for excellence in
postgraduate education and research. Its postgraduate courses
were awarded a maximum quality assurance score of 24;
research work was awarded grade 5 in the most recent (2001)
research assessment exercise.
The postholder will be responsible for maintaining, developing
and promoting the Institute's main Web site as a marketing and
dissemination tool. They will manage the Institute's intranet,
helping particularly to support teaching and administration.
They will assist in the development of IDPM's subsidiary
research sites. They may also contribute to IDPM's "ICTs and
Development" group.
Applicants should have a track record of Web site maintenance
and development, including Web page creation skills;
demonstrable expertise in prioritising business and marketing
needs in Web site development; experience in higher education
and/or experience of working in an environment with an
international focus; good interpersonal, teamworking and
communication skills; a flexible and customer-focused
approach to work; and the ability to organise a varied workload
and meet deadlines.

Salary: Administrative, Library and Computer Grade 1,
£17,451 to £19,486 or Grade 2, £20,267 to £26,229;
appointment will be made according to relevant experience and
qualification. The post is initially tenable for one year.
