Hi
If I wanted to produce DC RDF files that has content in a right-to-left
language, say Urdu, would something like the following be the correct way to do
it?
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"
xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"
xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<rdf:Description>
<dc:creator>Karl Mustermann</dc:creator>
<dc:title>Algebra</dc:title>
<dc:subject>
<rdf:Description dc:language="ur">
<rdf:value xml:lang="ur" xhtml:dir="rtl">[Urdu here]</rdf:value>
</rdf:Description>
</dc:subject>
</rdf:Description>
</rdf:RDF>
Or perhaps:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"
xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"
xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<rdf:Description>
<dc:creator>Karl Mustermann</dc:creator>
<dc:title>Algebra</dc:title>
<dc:subject>
<rdf:Description dc:language="ur">
<rdf:value xml:lang="ur">
<xhtml:bdo dir="rtl">[Urdu here]</xhtml:bdo>
</rdf:value>
</rdf:Description>
</dc:subject>
</rdf:Description>
</rdf:RDF>
The above examples are based on the example in the DCQ proposal [1] and the W3C
/ Unicode Consortium's Note on Unicode [2].
Also should this issue be mentioned somewhere on the DC web site?
