A paper in the latest issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine which may be of interest to some of you. The rates of amputation in the UK for Afro-Carribeans are compared with those of European descent, and the results contrasted with those observed in the US where amputation rates for African Americans are two to three times higher than for whites.
