Dear all,
Just like London buses, it seems that you can wait ages on this list for
queries about things Bohemian, and then two come along at once. Anyway,
here's my query: I am investigating the use made by writers writing in
German of the idea, dating back to Shakespeare, of Bohemia having a sea
coast. So far I am aware of works on this theme by Bachmann, Fuehmann,
Braun, Enzensberger and Monikova (please excuse lack of diacritics). I'd be
grateful for other leads, including treatments of the theme in other
literatures (as for example by Apollinaire), and the reception of these
writers' works on the theme (as for example the responses to Bachmann's poem
by Fried and Bernhard). If there is general interest, I can post the replies
to the list.
Many thanks,
Brigid
