Dear Henry and all.
Is common in this sport practice (Tae-Kwon Do) muscle strains and ruptures,
commonly affect muscles that cross two joints, hip and the knee.
The Rectus femoris, The sartorius are implicated for forcibly stretching ,
either pssively or during eccentric contraction.
Symptoms include a popping or snapping sensation, tenderness to palpation
over the muscle and eecchymosis.
Treatment is Rice, wrappping, stretching a tolerance, pain free ambulation,
and progression to activity as tolerated.
When full strength and agility have returned ,full sports participation is
permitted.
Rectus femoris rupture is is characterized by an anterior thigh mass ,pain
and weak knee extension.
Sartorius compromise include pain with hip flexion, rotates lateral and knee
flexion .
