I think you may be thinking of his younger brother who I seem to recall was
shrouded in a monk's habit. Didn't Richard died of gangrene in his tent
following the clumsy extraction of a crossbow quarrel while besieging a
castle in Normandy ?

Now isn't this a BEAUTIFUL example of the mental gulf between us and the
middle ages which has inspired the fascinating debate between Dennis Martin
