A leading UK consultancy has an excellent opportunity for an experienced
manager/senior consultant to head up its Brownfield Redevelopment section.
Working parallel to, and with the full support of other divisions within
the company, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects
of redevelopments, from initial proposals/assessments through to
remediation and possible redevelopments/sale to developers. A good
technical background is essential, with experience of all aspects of
contaminated land issues, in order to successfully manage projects. An
understanding of design and build will also be required. Because the
projects will be taken through to design-and-build stage, experience of
preparing due diligence reports and consequent risk transfer is also
required. The role will involve not only the redevelopment of existing
client sites but also the generation of new business, making experience of
business development another essential quality.
Because the Brownfield Redevelopment section is working parallel to other
sections within the company rather than heading up a full redevelopment
team, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, from
contractors and their operatives through to other divisional heads, as
well as senior marketing management within the company, is also pre-
requisite for the position. The ability to both prepare and assess tenders
associated with the redevelopments will also form part of the function of
the post.
The position is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 10+ years
experience within a related field to progress into a management role
covering a diverse range of duties, with an excellent remuneration package
commensurate to the skills and experience they would bring to the role.
