Dear colleagues,
Do any of you have (by any extraordinary chance)a series of weathered
(not buried) bone specimens from animals whose post-mortem exposure
period (pre and post-collection)is known, and from which you would be
prepared to let me have small (2 cubic cm) cortical bone samples.
A series of bones from a single location would be ideal. I am
currently investigating modifications to collagen as a function of
time and temperature, but am short of specimens with a known
post-mortem history.
With thanks,
Becky Nicholson
