physics communications day
23 November 2002
Institute of Physics Publishing, Bristol
How do the media treat science stories?
What do the public think of physics?
What questions will journalists ask about your science?
Discover how to communicate physics effectively to all sorts of audiences at a Physics Communications day, organised by the Institute's South West Branch and the Institute's Public Relations team.
JOURNALISTS and PROFESSIONAL SCIENCE COMMUNICATORS will help YOU to learn the tricks of the trade.
Hear advice and pick up useful tips on how you can best raise an awareness of physics and get accurate information to the media; get involved in discussions about physics and the media; meet other people involved in physics communication.
The session is open to anyone interested in communicating physics and science. The day will be interactive with opportunities to plan a strategy for science communication and to write a news story from a press conference.
