The Society for Endocrinology is a biomedical society and charity based in
Bristol. One of our External Relations team is moving abroad, and we need to
recruit a replacement. The following advert will appear in the Bristol press
tomorrow. If you are interested in this position (or if you know anyone who
might be interested), we'd be happy to receive a CV and covering letter.
==============================
External Relations Assistant (biomedical)
The Society for Endocrinology is a medical charity which represents the UK's
hormone scientists and doctors. We are looking for an External Relations
Assistant. This is a varied and evolving role, but the two main elements
are:
* dealing with the media and public enquiries for the Society
and its client organisations
* working in sales and information administration for the
Society and its subsidiary company, BioScientifica.
The job requires excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of
organisation, and the ability to learn quickly. You will need to project
yourself confidently to senior doctors, scientists, the media, and
pharmaceutical clients, and you will need to deal sympathetically with
patient enquiries. A PR background or a biomedical degree would be an
advantage.
You will need good MS Office experience, and an intuitive grasp of the
internet. We are looking for someone who can bring maturity, commitment and
stability to this position.
Please apply, with CV, to the Professional Relations Officer, Society for
Endocrinology, 17/18 The Courtyard, Woodlands, Bradley Stoke, Bristol BS32
4NQ. Please indicate your current salary. Closing date 15 November,
interviews will be held on 5 December.
