Postdoctoral Position Open
The Diagnostic Instrumentation and Analysis Laboratory (DIAL) at
Mississippi State University is accepting applications for a postdoctoral
associate position in experimental laser spectroscopy. The primary
research emphasis for this position is Ultra Sensitive Elemental and
Isotopic Measurements in Plasma Using Cavity Ringdown Spectroscopy (CRDS).
A Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, or related area with strong experience in
lasers and molecular spectroscopy is required. Previous experience using
inductively coupled or microwave induced plasma systems or cavity ringdown
spectroscopy is highly desirable, but not required. The successful
applicant will also have opportunity to be involved in other research
projects including jet-cooled CRDS and cutting-edge CRDS technologies.
DIAL is a multidisciplinary research and development institute focused on
the application of advanced instrumentation to environmental, industrial,
and combustion problems. Interested applicants should send a cover letter,
resume, and three letters of recommendation to Dr. Chuji Wang, MSU-DIAL,
205 Research Boulevard, Starkville, MS, 39759-9734. Applications will also
be accepted by fax (662-325-8465) or e-mail ([log in to unmask]).
