You will find that there is a great variation in the design of engine houses
both on and off mine sites depending on the size of the engine and its use.
We did have some sucess a few years ago with a standard twin probe
resistance survey, and fluxgate magnetometer survey around the engine house
at Cononley, near Skipton to find evidence of a missing boilerhouse and
winder. We did find promising anomolies but as yet it has not been followed
up with any excavation to prove the results.
Presumably with your expanding array you have been looking deeper and may
even have 3D data?
