Geraldine,
Subscribers may be interested to note that the UKSG 2003 Conference, April
7-9 at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh will include the following
workshop:
"16.(BS)Improving website accessibility
Stuart Smith, MIMAS,Manchester Computing &
Terry Hulbert, Institute of Physics Publishing.
Recent UK legislation means that educational institutions
must make their facilities, including their websites,
accessible to students with disabilities. So how does an
organisation take its websites and make them so? In this
briefing session the presenters will share their practical
experiences of coping with such an enterprise."
(The full conference programme has been agreed and will be publicised
extensively in the v.near future.)
Season's Greetings from all of us on the UKSG Committee!
