On behalf of Institute of Physics Publishing, I'm delighted to announce that the journal Nanotechnology is increasing in frequency, and will be published monthly from 2003.
Nanotechnology was launched in 1990 as the first journal dedicated to all aspects of nanoscale science and technology. The Institute of Physics aims to make it the primary source of information in this rapidly expanding field. Our decision to increase the journal's frequency for the second time in three years follows a hugely successful editorial relaunch in 2002, under the editorship of Professor Mark Welland, Cambridge University, UK.
The journal now has a new scope and publishes various types of article including Tutorials, which should especially appeal to students and anyone working in diverse fields of nanoscience.
Subscription rates to Nanotechnology will not be affected by the change of frequency in 2003, so all subscribers will benefit from 12 issues for the price of 6. This not only applies to current subscribers, who will get excellent value for money, but also to all new subscriptions. We are confident that this initiative will be welcomed by the scientific community. For subscription information please visit www.iop.org/journals/nano/order.
The increase in frequency will also allow our authors to benefit from even faster publication times, ensuring their research is communicated quickly to the nanotechnology community.
The electronic version of Nanotechnology is currently available free online, so please take this opportunity to visit the journal at www.iop.org/journals/nano, or through our new Web site dedicated to the subject at www.nanotechweb.org. As part of IoP's Journal Archive project, by the end of 2002, all volumes of the journal from Issue 1 will be available online.
If you have any questions, or you would like further information on subscribing to our journal, please do not hesitate to contact us at [log in to unmask]
Many thanks and kind regards,
