Are you looking to take GIS out of the back room?
Do you have the skills to keep Bromley one of the safest boroughs
in London?
This is a challenging role, being offered at a critical stage in the
development of the Partnership’s GIS. This post will be based within the
Community Safety Unit, and accountability will be directly to the Community
Safety Co-ordinator. This is a permanent post.
The Crime Analyst will support the activities of the Bromley Community
Safety Partnership, whilst driving both tactical and strategic decision-
making using GIS. You will also develop and maintain key datasets by
engaging with partner organisations.
We are looking for an experienced person with knowledge and experience
of desktop GIS (preferably ESRI’s ArcView), to undertake data analysis
projects from conception to delivery to review. The ideal candidate will be
able to identify links and associations between reported crime and
disorder patterns and unreported crime, and also be able to ascertain what
possible community safety impact they maybe having. An understanding of
the Data Protection Act, Crime and Disorder Act is required.
