Two Research Fellow (Level B) positions at the Centre for Magnetic
Resonance, University of Queensland, Australia.
The Centre for Magnetic Resonance is the largest laboratory of its type
in the Pacific region and has diverse research programs using the
applications of NMR and MRI. Whole-body human systems include a Bruker
2 Tesla Medspec S200, two 1.5 Tesla Siemens Sonatas, and a
Bruker-Siemens Medspec 4 Tesla system to be installed in January 2003.
The Centre also has a commercial arm developing microscopy probes and
mini-imaging gradients for about 50% of the current world market. The
University of Queensland is Queensland’s largest and oldest tertiary
institution located in Brisbane.
In the role of Research Fellow (Level B), you will be expected to
develop and program new MR pulse sequences for the Siemens and Bruker
systems; develop research protocols for applications research; prepare
research manuscripts and develop independent research; and contribute
to the Magnetic Resonance in Technology program.
The appointments are for five years in the first instance.
