Dear Colleagues
I was just able to see Kiarostami's latest film " Ten" while I was honored
to meet him , unfortunately he believes that what he has tried to express
in his film must be apart from his naratations, therefore I was left with
these questions.
1)In which way can we call this film, minimal ? Is it minimal in its
mise en scene( car ), in its' camera movements or in the abscence of the
signified"men" ?
2) Isn't the camera " Masculine" ? It seems , to me at least that the
camera is not neutral , How can it be reviewed from a Feminist point of
view , is this film feminist or a slogan for putting women's current
movements under question ?
Any other comments would be very honorable.
With best regards
Alireza Ajdari
