The next Caribbean Research Seminar in the North will be held at the School
of English, University of Leeds, on Friday 24th January 2003, 1pm-5pm.

The research seminars constitute an interdisciplinary series on the
Caribbean and its diaspora, initially co-organised by researchers at the
universities of Edinburgh, Newcastle and Lancaster in association with the
Society for Caribbean Studies. The series of half-day meetings brings
together Caribbeanists in Scotland and the north
of England to discuss current research and provides a mutually helpful

There will be an evening meal after the seminar. If you would like to

The University of Leeds is situated to the north of the city centre, and is
within walking distance (1.4 miles) from the Leeds railway station.
Parking on campus costs £2.60 and is allocated on a ‘first come’ basis,
although it is rare for the car park to be full on a Friday afternoon.
There is also a secure public multi-storey car park behind Woodhouse Lane
within five minutes walking distance of the campus. The School of English
is at 10 Cavendish Road, just inside the main entrance to the campus.
