The topics offered by our keynote speakers will be:
FRED BOTTING, `The "post-postmodernism" of Alasdair Gray's
gothicism`. This will include extensive historical reference to
William Godwin.
AVRIL HORNER and SUE ZLOSNIK, `The Skull Beneath the Grin:
the Persistence of Comic Gothic`.
DAVID PUNTER, `The House of History: Arundhati Roy's "The God
of Small Things" and the Contexts of Gothic`.
CALL FOR PAPERS on aspects of Gothic to be found in literature,
visual art and film from 1750 to the present day. Deadline 31/3/02.
