Dear Andrea,
I have been thinking of giving a paper on lyrics of German popular
music taken as a contemporary form of the concept of 'Gebrauchslyrik'
which was developed in the era of the Weimar cabaret (especially by
Brecht, Kaestner, Mehring and Tucholsky). I would like to focus on the
lyrics of Udo Lindenberg and/or Konstantin Wecker. I thought I had
missed the deadline for submitting an abstract anyway so stopped
thinking about it. But your mail obviously suggests that it is still
possible to come up with ideas. I am very busy with marking and teaching
and could not write a detailled abstract rigth now. What is the final
deadline to hand something in to you? Please let me know.
Best wishes
Annette
