Is the figure you need an actual outcome of average speed, or the timetabling
speed of the bus?.
In London we have essentially 3 types of bus operation - the one person pay
or show pass on entry bus, which I believe is timetables at just over 2.5mph
(or 4 Km/H including dwell time at stops) then there is the old traditional
2-person operation of Routemaster buses - many Londoners choose to ride on
these as they are timetabled at over twice the speed of single person buses,
as fareas are collected & checked by the conductor, and passenger flows on &
off the bus do not conflict severely. A third variety recently introduced is
for prepay tickets only, and I don't know much about their operation.
