RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (stlg17,626 - stlg26,491)
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and ambitious researcher to
join this leading transport research group. Based in the Transport
Operations Research Group (School of Civil Engineering and
Geosciences) you will be part of a team developing an innovative
programme of research into telematics-based Demand Responsive
Transport (DRT) services. Your main task will be to contribute to a
programme of monitoring and evaluation at a variety of sites within
the UK. You will also contribute to two European projects developing
the next generation of DRT services. You should have a PhD in
transport studies or a related subject, be able to work independently
and be willing to travel within the UK. You will possess good
communication skills and previous experience of the public transport
sector is desirable although not essential. This full-time post is
available immediately for 2 years in the first instance. Ref: D468R
