Scottish Language Dictionaries (SLD) is a new organisation
based in Edinburgh which brings together the work of
Dictionary of the Older Scottish Tongue and the Scottish
National Dictionary Association.

We are looking for dedicated, highly motivated individuals with
strong track records in lexicography and Scots-language
studies to take forward the work of this newly strengthened
body in recording and publishing data on the Scots language,
thereby stimulating knowledge of and interest in the
language. Candidates should be PC literate.
The Editorial Director will be responsible for leading the
organisation, overseeing the editorial work, and fundraising for
projects. Job-share may be considered for the Editor’s post.
