TRL undertook a LINK-IST project in the area of HGV stability together with
an SME company a couple of years ago. I think their interest was with
regard to roundabouts and such like. However, I will try and dig out the
details and post in an e-mail.

Subject: Fwd: High-sided vehicle stability.
I am a H.G.V. Driver/Instructor with the John Lewis Partnership, in the UK,
and am trying to discover if any research has been undertaken in the field
of high-sided vehicle stability during gale force winds, with a view to
helping those involved with transport in our organisation make informed
decisions as to the safety of driving during such inclement weather
conditions.
I was hoping that, if you are aware of any such research, you could inform
me of where I may be able to obtain copies of any reports, publications
etc. Any help you are able to give me would be greatly appreciated.
Yours faithfully,
Mr. David Collins
