This is the same form of mass-protest that Italy use
to experience in the Seventies, during the governments
Moro or Andreotti (both of the DC) who alternated
themselves to the administration of the Res Publica
for too many years after the National Referendum
abolishing the Monarchy and after the NATO pact with
Italy becoming subservient, in order to recover its
economical strength - (see economic boom of the
Sixties in opposition to the postwar state of
things), to the Piano Marshall, until the things
became so corrupted (entanglement of the DC with the
Mafia, the 'Tangentopoli' which Magistrate Di Pietro
and team of 'Mani Pulite' brought to trial: with Craxi
escaping to Tunisi and Andreotti being trialed for
collaboration with Mafia) to bring about terrorism
(The Brigate Rosse, the Nuclei Armati Proletari,
Moro's assasination, the bombs in Milan and Bologna,
but also the right-wing terrorism). The right wing
extremist terrorism indeed crosses throughly the
history of our republic and is intertwined with the
most obscure Italian political mysteries.

This because, after the fall of fascism, there were
many sub currents new right-wings aggregations that
could not come to the surface, given the illegality of
any newly formed sub parties recognizing itself in the
fascist doctrine (Italy is a democratic antifascist
republic founded on the labor of workers). These
secret neo-fascist extremist aggregations became
virulent in the Sixties and Seventies (I was a too
young then): see 'Ordine nuovo' and 'Avanguardia
nazionale' – (you can notice that these right wing
aggregations called themselves 'New Order' and
'National Avant-garde', imitating the spirit of the
first half of the century fascist squads)

Many of the eversive terrorist acts were perpetrated
by these right-wing extremist groups to consolidate
the power of the DC against the other power in Italy -
the Communist Party, which in fact represents one
third of the entire population.

Inthe Seventies, Italy suffered golpist attempts of
these groups at restablisghing dictaturship (The
Borghese's golpe). You can see how, in such an
atmosphere, armed fighting of the terrorist groups
became almost inevitable, as it is again today, with
Berlusconi's government trying to turn Italy from a
democratic nation into a liveral democrat market place
- of which he wishes to becomethe unconditional Ruler
- menacing, in doing so, our Republic and the Labor
Constitution .

It came natural to any sensible mind after the
Genova's facts (the tragic events of the 19-22 July
2001 at the G8 Summit presided by Berlusconi and which
some of the list members have reported here to the
list)that terrorism would be back - or else call it
'armed fighting'.

In Genova, if you remember, there was a premeditated
' raid' of the policy agaisnt the protesters with the
killing of Carlo Giuliani, the 21 years old anarchist
and son of a trade-union leader.

Rome, today, is the only possible desirable response
to the hated Berlusconi's government which has in mind
the plan to apply to the Republic of Italy the deeds
and means of 'thatcherism'.
