Douglas, I hope I wasn't underselling Creeley's abilities to put a blue
flame to a most intimate moment. I do count myself fortunate to have
witnessed two.
And, yes, Bok's performance is pristine, and his velocity is staggering,
although I've only been near recordings. I have heard Jaap Blonk, on a
steamy night in Albany, demonstrating an elasticity with not only Switters,
but also Ball and others. It IS being carried forth.

Well, gerald, I can remember Creeley, reading to a huge audience of over a
thousand in vancouver, siting down, puttling the mike close, & turning the
reading into a quiet, intense thing across a small table in 'our' living
room. But it was intense, it was beautiful, & it struck me as a perfect
articulation of the poetry.
And then there's Christian Bök's amazing performance of Schwitters's
'Ürsonate' at twiece the speed Schwitters managed. Wow!
